yes the same happens with cannabis. and the younger the kids get the harder it will be for them to quit, peer pressure!!!
It is so common now and there is so much publicity around drugs they are pushed in your face even more and i am sorry but if we really want the bad drugs off the streets we need to pressure the police because not speaking for everywhere but my home town, there are so many drug dealers its unbelivable, and kids at schools know all about them gauranteed. I used to drink everyweekend when i was schooly, drinking and smoking at, at least the age of 12, still drinking and smoking now, although finally coming to my senses and giving up smoking, dont drink that much anyway. I was devistated to find out my 15 year old cousin smokes, thats bad enough but the amount she drinks is more than i could look at now. but she is not easily controlled so this then escalates. scary society!!! Scary kids means scary adults.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE OF MODULE AND LEARNING TOPICS.Very enlightening.
Helps to self investigate and highlight individual issues a person has, so very beneficial.
Helps to turn your mind to:
- your own and other peoples views of bad and the definition in terms of the module.
- Time organisation for assessments.
- the society we live in.
- the lecture group and the individuals within it.
- your own decisions, values and beliefs.
I believe this module and the blogging experience has helped motivate me to give up smoking, this is what i got form the module, after blogging how i felt about smoking, researching again around it, reading other peoples opinions and analysing why i smoke and when i was going to quit, i decided to do it, it has been at least two to four months i haven't been smoking for after 6 years that is really Good and still now i remember my blog when i think of the reasons why i am doing it.
I believe this module takes allot of commitment, thought, research, investigation, analysis, evidence and self reflection.

STALKERS / PERVERTS / VOYEURS
I travel by bus and train. I personally like to observe other peoples reactions, body language, facial expressions, attitudes and other factors associated with that person because of my career path and studies of social care this is very important as well as keeping on guard for swine flu and terrorist activity i am very observant.

One thing i have noticed many a times a day and sometimes become infuriated by is men and boys staring at women or girls, watching them walk away, looking at breasts instead of faces and sometimes with young boys conversations degrading women and there looks.
My comment is please shut up!!!! and don't do it so obviously!!!!
I am 20 years of age and have found this directed at my self on a number of occasions even (trying) to be 'chatted' up by a group/ yes group of 16-17 year old, on my way home sitting in a deserted city centre at a bus stop minding my own, when they turned up and started. This irritated the hell out of me even after explaining my age and that they had no chance, they persisted.
Now usually i can take it and would be happy to stand there and ignore, laugh or tell them to shut up, but They were so infuriating and because there was no one around i had to leave the bus stop, i was angry about this though, The closest refuge was a casino offering free cups of tea Mmmm. Good in one sense bad in another.
Now i am not saying that looking and talking in particular are that bad after all its natural!!
But!!
I am recently beginning to think i am being stalked, i already had a warped view of many anyway, but this is not the first or second time i have been concerned about this

Another Thing!!!
The lack of technical assistance in a public library!
After the disaster of phone and Internet failure, i was forced to head to the library...
30 minute journey...
30 minute wait for a computer they tell me...
Then. A women looking upset and confused... faced with a problem, she looks around for help, she looks at me and begins to speak. She stops...
Unable to turn a blind eye and noticing the very busy women behind the desk were not going to move. I stepped up and asked her what the problem was (as if i actually worked there :-( )
Explaining she does not know if her email has sent or not... how would i know she asks? she was using yahoo - not my favourite.
I helped her to realise it had been sent and she could stop worrying, she was leaving very happy but caught me for a good fifteen minute chat, i then missed my turn for a computer, not having a clue how as i was still in the Que.
Another 30 Min's... no problem i have got a notebook - plenty to write about!!
whilst looking around i came to the conclusion everyone seems to know the systems of this library, but i do not i seemed to be speaking a foreign language when i first came in and asked if i could use a computer, this place makes me second guess my self so.... I walked to the desk to ask these two very 'busy' ladies how this whole queuing/ booking thing goes - enforcing my pet hate they looked at me blankly, yes both of them just looking at me.
I raise an eye brow, take a deep breath, and explain my question again (feeling very unsure of my self) smiling, trying got to let them hear the anger.
FINALLY!!!! SOME ASSISTANCE AND AN EXPLANATION.

‘Sexed up’ education plan!

Hey im glad you have spoken about this. Although i do not like the whole 'norm' thing, i do believe the curriculum must change and at one point i was all for it being compulsary but now i do think that the option should be down to the parents, and if a child then feels they need to rebel against that decision, cross that when we get there. all individuals whether that be it as parents or not should have a say in the countrys curriculum, as alot of it is useless and some like this is neccesary for life. They so called norm of the age of pregnanacy is so low now that it is shocking, this is due to so many factors so why not put the education where it is needed. Where education progresses school, takes some pressure of the parent!!

Telephone Assistance!! 
You know when you are really stuck... your anxiety levels are rising, your mobile phone has stopped working. You have phone technical support - OFF a FRIENDS phone... you are on hold for twenty minutes- still no solution, nothing is done about your problem.
SO... you give up, tired of arguing with the guy on the other side, you end the call and proceed to try everything you know about mobile technology....!!!!
24 hours later... you changed a setting and you can now make, receive calls and send and receive text messages. This is a revelation!!!
You turn on your laptop you know you have to write blog for your being bad assignment, Plug in the mobile Internet device...
OT OH - COMPUTER SAYS NO!!! - ERROR CODE = NO!!!!!!!!!
(Good old tech support again!!???!!!) Try everything you know, unplug, reconnect, disconnect, reconnect.
Tears are welling in the eyes - same problem - error code.

It is disgraceful that social services can get away with allowing a baby to be exposed to such an amount of torture, allowing this child's life to be ended and then even worse for him to become a household name.
- just an every day something that happens and everyone who takes notice of the media knows.
This is something that will stay with me for along time maybe forever along with Jamie Bulger, Madeleine MacCan and poor little baby p.
So many children are tortured, murdered and neglected only very immoral and evil or unresolved cases are publicised to this extent... what about those others who deserve to be remembered who died for medical reasons?
Thanks to the media!!!! these are names and faces, they can not be remembered for the lives they lived because those professionals did not do there jobs, or failed and covered it up or did not protect the interests of those children.
The media should not be able to publicise so much about a child whose life was never really lived... making money from a child they never knew, was never lived and whose life was taken away so terribly.R.I.P little children

I agree with everything you are saying, the thought of what some people do makes me sick!! I am a big animal lover, with two dogs and a hamster at present. I would physically KILL anyone who tried to harm any of my animals and I would want to damage anyone that I saw being cruel to another.I do not eat meat, fish or eggs. That I think shows my dedication to animals, as well as the 5 paw prints I have tattooed on my back.Something needs to be done about the evil **** that do these cruel things; this is where a bigger government strategy should come in. There is only so much one person can do.

I am 19 years of age and all ready have five tattoos i am very proud of and i will not be stopping there, i plan to get my biggest yet within the next couple of months. I love all my tats and do not regret any (maybe the Japanese symbol THEY TELL ME stands for older sister)

Tattoos are a fantastic way of expressing your self OR just scaring your body for ever and ever, either way be prepared for your tattoos and consider, consider and reconsider any design after all in is FOREVER!! Especially a persons name (animals names do not count)

I am not sweet and Innocent i have cheated and know how it feels, and i don't like it, it is a feeling of guilt that i feel will live with me for as long as i can see, and so it should as the feelings i caused other people would have been much greater.
Doing it your self and knowing how it feels can really make you worry about whether it will ever be returned and that feeling is one that now makes me feel sick....
This can be destroying and i feel for anyone that has had to go through it either way. x x

I choose to slowly kill my self in this way other people choose other ways; drinking dangerous alcohol, taking illegal drugs, eating unacceptably unhealthy foods, etc… it is my choice.

Basically do not judge other people when we all make decisions which we will regret, this smoking thing just takes a bit longer to end. Non smokers think its easy ha!!! Especially starting from a young age and being pulled into the bad habit. Or seeing elders smoking it can become the norm. It is not good, cool, hard, and definitely not sexy. It is all bad but yet we love it!!!

Gangs!Some words to describe gangs... Intimidating, violent, criminal, threatening, drug related, music related, friendly?, malicious, illegal, immoral, addicted, dangerous.
A lot of young people have no choice but to hang around the streets, parks, towns.
Although some people choose this as their option, People choose to sell and take drugs. Some people choose to steal, cause harm physical, emotional and mental. I sympathise with some individuals who may have been pushed into bad situations and feel unable to get out. Poverty can drive some people to bad and desperate measures along with drug/drink addiction/ social pressure, peer pressure.
Some people are attracted to this 'life' maybe for the money, rebelling against society and the law, the feelings drugs give you, peers or 'popular people'
SOMETIMES the area in which we live can be directly linked to the path we choose, our rights and wrongs and our choices. We must be strong enough not to confirm to the 'bad' ways of society.
I witness young people turning roads, going from being on the right track with their futures ahead of them, nice families with money to support them, good education or potential education and something changes or they meet he wrong people or they are just looking to escape and they turn to crime, drink, drugs and violence. This is one thing... if it is just a faze but when it forms your future it is a MASSIVE problem and these kids/ adults need help, the temptation must be taken away so that good people do not throw their lives away for bad reasons, bad futures, bad lives and bad people.

I wanted to write about Hooligans! But instead I am going to rant on about the damn media and the way that they portray the youths of today.
Young people are constantly being criticized; they are the bad behavior of Britain!!!
I believe that this is because of the media; it influences people’s opinion and sparks controversy. The media was once an adults world, but I now see the ‘schoolies’ reading the metro on the bus in the morning (That was not what I was doing at their age)
The metro im sure would spark conversations within schools. So... what happens when the media is so negative towards young people and reporting on the drink and drug use of young people let alone the latest crime statistics. Young people have enough pressure to deal with besides the stereotypes put on them. Also
Why has it come to the point that bad behavior has to be rewarded for people to learn or change?
- If you be good you can have some sweeties.
- If you lose weight you can treat your self.
- If my child is stealing maybe I should give them more money.
If you are a heroin addict but you don’t have the money to buy your drugs but your parents love you so much that they don’t want to see you suffer – give them the money they need for the drugs…..

Every young person needs a holiday now you can have one you don’t have to pay for of you probably get educated better in there than in our schools. Why not just close the schools down get the teachers working in the YO’s holiday camps for all. YAY!!

Young people grow up witnessing and living within bad behavior from birth to death. Who's parents are perfect? Whose home, school, neighborhood or local shop never had trouble or some form of bad behavior in or around it? My neighborhood was and still is renown for it as i am sure I will go into a little further throughout the module. Although I witnessed a lot of bad, unhealthy and dangerous behaviour and had no choice but to grow up with it from a young age, that does not mean I am willing to go out murdering people, selling drugs, robbing from the elderly or beating up people younger than me because I want their iPod. (I have my own)
So how can young people be victimized because of the society we created? Please help me with this; the media we watch, read and listen to it is all too much for me.
I could suggest many things to help society change and support young people to choose the right path, but it does not begin with me. Society needs you!!!
